We have an active group of members who participate in AREC activities and other exercises.
DMR/FM Repeater
70cm MMDVM/FM Repeater
The club has a 70cm repeater at the clubrooms. We have been experimenting with different equipment over the last few months, and Lilly ZL1LLY is currently modifying her MMDVM repeater to support both DMR and analogue modes, stand by for more on this.
Remote Club HF Station
Remote-controllable Club HF Station
Club members can enjoy the use of a high-end HF radio at the club house, or remotely control the station via the internet.
History
History Our club was formed alongside and as a branch to the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (NZART) in 1926. At this time the club callsign ZL1AA was held by the Chairman Norm Edwards.
